FREE LA High Open Enrollment August 2015

YJC FREELA High School Open Enrollment this week! August 17-19 9am-3pm. Also Check our website for updates: www.youth4justice.org

“F.R.E.E. L.A.” stands for “Fighting for the Revolution to Educate and Empower Los Angeles.” We are a small alternative YouthBuild charter school on the border of South Central L.A. and Inglewood that is designed for youth from the surrounding communities ages 16-24 to enroll and earn a high school diploma. FREE LA High is a proponent of the Youth Justice Coalition, and we directly serve youth who are system-involved: formerly incarcerated, on probation, pushed out of their other high schools, affected by the school-to-jail-track, police and street violence,  gang injunctions, etc. We also utilize “project-based” learning style, as student get to work directly on community organizing campaigns, and different methods of improving their schools, communities, conditions and families’s lives.
