610+ people have been killed by Los Angeles County Law Enforcement since the year 2000. The “Don’t Shoot” report can be found on the YJC website.

On 4/7/15, the United Families for Justice (UFJ) is organizing a 4-Directions March: North, South, East, West-That will start at 9:00AM and converge in Downtown L.A. at 12:30 in front of the LA County Board of Supervisors at 500 W. Temple L.A. 90012. We will also stop by the District Attorney Office Jackie Lacey Office at 210 West Temple St.

9am Start at Central Juvenile Hall, pass Men’s Central Jail, Homeboy Industries and Union Station
11am Mid Point Rally at Central Division LAPD Downtown Skid Row
End BOS – 500 West Temple

West Side
9am Start at Rampart Division LAPD
11am Mid Point – LA School Police Department
End BOS – 500 West Temple

East Side
9am Start at LA Sheriffs Department, East LA near ELAC
11am Mid Point – Get off Metro to go through cemetery
End walk through Union Station and up to BOS – 500 West Temple

South Side
9am Start at Newton Division, LAPD
11am Mid Point – Hill Street Court on Washington
End walk north on Broadway and up to BOS – 500 West Temple

There will be no permit for this march. We will not ask permission from our oppressors to fight for our own dignity. We will have Peace-Builders and Interventionists present to protect the people.

UFJ:

The United Families For Justice (UFJ) is a collective of family members from Southern CA who have lost loved ones to police murder and community members who have been personally affected by police brutality, including community-based organizations, organizers, students, teachers, clergy, faith-based leaders, activists, LGBTIQ folks, houseless folks, and so on. We have been meeting since the Winter in response to the massive outcry for justice after Mike Brown, Eric Garner, and Ezell Ford’s families were denied justice.
